Even though I got this question right, my calculation is not 100% correct. Could anyone please explain how to best tackle this question? Thanks!

Circumference of a circle =2pi(r)
Area of square=4s

2pi(r)+4s=40
4s=40-2pi(r)
s=10 - 0.5pi(r)

so one side of the square=10 - .5pi(r)
area of square = (10 - .5pi(r))^2

area of circle=2pi(r)

Total area would be:

pi(r^2) + (10 - .5(r))^2
