The given expression can be re-written as:

(1001 + 999) (1001 - 999)/(101 + 99) (101 - 99)

= 2000*2/200*2
= 10

1001^2 - 999^2)/ 101^2 - 99^2

= (1001 -999)(1001+999)/(101-99)(101+99)

= 2*2000 / 2 * 200

= 10

Using the formula (a + b)(a - b) = a^2 - b^2, we get 10 (A)
