IMO B 1/2

Area of triangle is always 1/2abSinC
a=b=1
Maxpossible value of SinC is 1 .

So area = 1/2

hey abhinav,

The largest area possible with one vertex as center and other two on the circle is is a right angle triangle(right angle at the center)

thus we get the base and the height as 1

so 1/2x1x1=1/2sq units.

hence B
