Conclusion : Something other than Herbicide must be responsible for the population decrease.

Weaken... So we have say that "Herbicide is responsible for the population decrease."

Use of Herbicide -- > Elimination of weeds --> reduced population of small insects --> hungry partridge --> decrease in partridge population
