is the question is complete?? if it is...

There are very few number which will have 'raise to 4' < 100.
As..

1, 1^4 = 1
2, 2^4 = 16
3, 3^4 = 81
and of cource 0

I am lil confused.. Q is asking greatest possible value of x and there are 2 choices per option... you sure you typed the right question.

Any approach???
The greatest value of X will occur when Y = 0

Therefore you get X^4 = 100

3^4 = 81 so the required number has to lie between 3 and 4

The only answer option satisfying this is D
