GMAT Paper Test from GMAC

DOes anyone here recommend buying those GMAT Paper Test from GMAC ? Will they help significantly or is the GMATPrep just as good >

My test is next Friday, and I am not sure I am ready because my scores have been fluctuating n the prep test.

I have them and yes I'd recommend them. I've been posting a lot of the quant questions from them in the quant section.

Any practice problems from GMAC are going to be helpful, for sure. My only warning is that a paper test is not a very accurate representation of what the GMAT is really like. I wouldn't estimate my GMAT score using a paper test, for example.

Still, they are great practice if you just use them like you would additional problems from the OG.

Jim,

Don't you think that paper tests are tougher than GMAT Prep? I usually get more right on GMATprep than on the paper tests.

I think whether they are "tougher" depends on your score level. Since the paper test is not adaptive, it may be a little harder for people who aren't scoring well. On the CAT, such test takers will start to get easier questions. On the flip side, paper tests may be too easy for high scorers, since on the CAT, such test takers will start getting harder and harder questions.

I just posted a topic on the same lines. I scored a 75th percentile on veritas prep practice test but a 60th percentile on the pbts. If you are looking to improve your score from the low 600s to the high 700s .. pbts definitely will help but they'll kinda demoralize you as you'd never seen such questions on the CATs because of CAT's adaptive nature.
