GMAT on OCTOBER 3rd or 4th, 2011 - too Late or Correct time?

Expert replies

Hey friends and BEATtheGMAT experts - A BIG FAVOR.

I have booked my GMAT date and its on SEP 19, 2011. But, at office I've been assigned extra tasks which involves travelling and is going to be time consuming so my current study plan will not go smooth. I'm planning to reschedule my test day to OCT 3rd or 4th and my TOEFL on OCT 22nd.

IS October a right time to take up the exam considering the deadlines for the colleges in US/CANADA and INDIA or is it too late for the deadlines?

I guess it would be ok.

Deadlines usually come in the middle of October and onwards.

India schools: Any apart from ISB? If you are applying to ISB in Cycle 1, it could be a problem because ISB cycle 1 deadline is on September 15.
Wharton: I guess dates not released yet, but typically it comes in the first week of October.

Other than these, on a general note, Oct 3 is ok for the test.
Vineesh,
Just telling you what I know and think. I am not the expert. :)

You can apply Round/Cycle 2 onwards by scheduling your GMAT test in October. I'm doing mine on the 14th.
