Hi Guys ,

i need to ask about taking the GMAT test , how can i start preparing for the test
i need it for a scholarship , they need score above 550 and i have to submit all my documents before 30/11 .. i need to know everything about the test , how to start and if the time is enough to study ... pleaaaaase helpppppp

Nelly,
All the information about GMAT is available in MBA.com <<https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/schedule-a- ... rview.aspx>>.
There are several plans mentioned under Self Study> Study Plans. See which timed plan suits you.Given that you just need around 550 and are not targeting 700+ it must not be that difficult.I would say buy below books:
1.MGMAT Sentence correction.
2.Kaplan Math workbook.
3.OG 12
4.Some online source for CR question types and how to approach them.
Just study above sources and you must be good to take your score above 550.

Hey Nelly ,
With a little over 45 days to go it appears you're quite limited on time and will have to work hard to crack the test. Treat the GMAT test as a game. Your knowledge in the game will give you a huge advantage over those who are ignorant of the game's idiosyncratic rules.
You should understand:

"¢ The computer-adaptive structure of the GMAT
"¢ The types of exam questions asked and their common fallacies
"¢ How to manage your time wisely
There are various ways with which you can start practising for your GMAT. You might need to try this combination to provide yourself flexibility and different styles to practice. It could be combination of:-
1-Books- Books like- The Official Guide for GMAT Review, The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review, The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review etc could be used.
2-Online Study Guide: Websites like Knewton, Grockit etc provide you with practise questions online.
3-Smart phone applications- Kaplan, Veritas etc offer applications to prepare for GMAT on your smart phone
