GMAT Manhattan - what else - tons of time

I am going to sign up for the Manhattan GMAT Course. I for see myself applying to a bussiness in a year and a half (job will be be relocating), so I think I will take the GMAT. What should I review before taking this course. Also, is there anything else I should do to prepare while taking the class. I am working full time but I can dedicate a 2-3 hours each weekday and solid a solid 10-15hr hours on weekends toward this. I like the work, hell I need it, something to do. I am thinking I can do the hw for the course on weekdays and a full practice test without stopping each weekend (mba.com). I am thinking that doing both concurently is the best option (opinions appreciated) then take the official test. I aim to do my best and nothing less.

Hey Waterboy,

I hope you won't be taking on more than you can handle, but it seems you have lots of time and plenty of determination.

A great tool to study Official GMAT questions is the Official Guide Companion from GMATFix (www.gmatfix.com). Basically, the companion provides deep explanations and lessons to replace the decidedly skimpy quant solutions from the official guide. The book is 600 pages and contains solutions, additional advanced speed drills, and a reference section that labels each question by topic, subtopic and difficulty level (for instance, Algebra -> Number Properties -> 600-700).

For verbal, 1000SC 1000CR 1000RC offers a lot of practice obviously, but has been getting decidedly mixed reviews. I haven't used it myself so I will let someone else give their verdict on that. Do a search for 1000SC to learn more.

The MGMAT course will give you lots of work though.
