Hi everyone,

I have my gmat scheduled for end July and am having some trouble with Quant. My GMAT Prep results so far have been as follows:

GMAT Prep 1: Q44V40 (690)
GMAT Prep 2: Q46V41 (700)
GMAT Prep 2 Retake: Q49V42 (740) (5 repeats each in Quant and verbal)

Considering the fact that i have precious little time left for improving my score i am targeting a score of 47 in Quant and 43 in verbal.

I recently came across these documents containing GMAT Prep Quant, SC and CR questions respectively. Is it a good idea to spend time reviewing and analyzing these documents for the next week in order to boost my score in the real thing?

I will be really grateful for any specific approach or solutions to help boost my score.

I would recommend three things, first review any math concepts you have trouble with, second memorize as many common thngs as you can, triangles, powers, roots, primes, etc. things that you need to use over and over on thexam, knowing them off the top of your head is a time saver. Finally drill, Quant is practice, do as many GMAT-like quant questions as you can between now and the exam.

Hi there


We would recommend you to keep taking practise tests to gauge your performance. It will help you in identifying your weak areas and you can focus on them accordingly. There are various ways you can use to practise for your GMAT. You might need to change your practise style and try this combination to provide you flexibility and different styles to practise so it doesn't get monotonous. This would also make you definitive that the pattern you feel is happening in mock is actually there or not.

It could be combination of-

1-Books- Books like- The Official Guide for GMAT Review, The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review, The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review etc could be used.

2-Online Study Guide: Websites like Knewton, Grockit etc provide you with practise questions online.

3-Smart phone applications- Kaplan, Veritas etc offer applications to prepare for GMAT on your smart phones.

Once you are done giving the GMAT Prep exams , there is a document that has 198 GMAT Prep Questions.

Those are the exact kind of problems you'd see on the GMAT - I've rarely seen a difficult geometry and permutations and comb problem.

It might seem very obvious but ,if you know where you are weak at - try targeting those areas.
