GMAT in 4 months, not sure what prep strategy to follow

Hello everyone, I have just started preparing for my GMAT (I have 4 months until the exam date) and I am in a big confusion whether where to start from.
As a first step, I have started reviewing the Manhattan SG (I was planning to review all guides, one by one, is this too ambitious for my time frame?) but also I am thinking of taking a course with Master GMAT or with a private tutor, in order to get tips and hints to solve the exam.
The thing is I am not sure whether when it would be the best time to take a course(Master GMAT or tutor).
Do you think it is best to go through materials like Manhattan or OG and then take a course or do you think you take more advantage of prep courses when you take them first, and then continue by yourself practicing with prep materials?

I think it's better to try it on your own first, unless you know you won't do it without a tutor or class structure. For one thing, doing it yourself is cheaper. For another, you can go to a class or tutor knowing more specifically what you need to work on.
