Hi...

I have my GMAT exam in 25 days...and really need to strategize to get a decent score...(above 700, atleast!!!)

Past Scores: I took my GMAT 2 months ago..and scored a mere 680...I was doing well in my practice tests though..and scored 730 and 720 in the GMAT official practice tests....Took some score800 tests too along with the Manhattan practice test (710)....took Kaplan Test 1 (590)

I really don't know where to start from again and how should I improve on my verbal which was a mere 34....

Could any one please guide/ help in strategizng for the next 25 days?
New Material: I have both, the Powerscore Bible and Manhattan SC ..and access to the free manhattan tests.... Have also bought the 2nd edition verbal book...
Practiced material: Completed both the books of a coaching centre in delhi...OG 12 has been done once...and I have also done some extra practice questions...

You're on the right track - Powerscore CR and MGMAT SC are great! I would also encourage you to take some time to re-establish and strengthen your RC strategy. Make sure you are taking notes, making predictions, eliminating methodically, etc. So many student "flail" their way through RC, or (even worse) ignore it entirely.

Here are some tips:

1. Identify weaknesses (make an Error Log or review your old one. Find your 3 weakest skill areas in Quant & Verbal)

2. Focus on harder, less-commonly tested concepts in Quant: Profit, Interest, Rates, Combinatorics, etc.

3. Study in "chunks," rotating by concept every 90min- 2 hours. Don't burn out.

4. Spend more time reviewing than answering new questions. Don't take more than 1 CAT a week.

5. When working to improve CR and RC, work untimed at first. Aim for 90% or above accuracy when you are working untimed. Then add pacing drills on top.

Hi...Thanks for your advise...took my exam...got a 740!!!! Not that great maybe, but I guess decent enough.... :)
