GMAT Flash Card?

I have read that a lot of you guys use and take advantage of GMAT Flash cards. How do you use Flash Cards?

I have downloaded MGMAT Flash Cards. They look like business cards but there are 6 or so cards on each side of the paper. Do I need to cut them manually into business card size flash cards?

May be I am missing the point or dont know how to use the flash cards.

yes you do.


You could go and get 120gsm+ printer paper which is thick cardboard like paper and print it out on that then cut sheet in half and fold each half and you have your flashcards.

@ mbamaverick,

there is no particular way to use a flash card. Just make use of it!!! the reason why people say to cut and fold is because when you do that it'll be easy for you to revise. By sutting and folding you would have a flash card with a question on one side and then when you unfold it you'll have the answer on the otherside.

Its a good way to study but i think the better flash cards are those that contain hints or formulae or notes that may help you.
For eg. if you wrote in a card "Area of a circle = pi.r^2, where r is the radius" and if you read that card everyday, you would never forget the formula for area of a circle. This also works for verbal. YOu can write idioms, verb tense rules etc etc. i strongly urge you to go to this link and download the flash cards - https://www.beatthegmat.com/gmat-flash-cards.html

But by far the best flash cards would be the one that you yourself prepare. This would be tailor made to fit your needs!!!!

In my experience, the best verbal flashcards are from GMATFix because each card has several related questions and an attached lesson with examples. My SC has already improved from using them.

What are the best quant flashcards?

GMATFix cards are more like lesson cards than flashcards. I also like that they are interactive and especially that they are divided by topic so you can track your performance in each SC area like Idioms, Modifiiers, Pronouns... I would also recommend them.

Someone posted two great files with strategies for SC and RC somewhere on this forum. Anybody knows the posting title?
