I came across the following CR

Advertisement:
The world's best coffee beans come from Colombia. The more Colombian beans in a blend of coffee, the better the blend, and no company purchases more Colombian beans than Kreemo Coffee, Inc. So it only stands to reason that if you buy a can of Kreemo's coffee, you're buying the best blended coffee available today.
GO ON TO THE NEXT PAGE.
The reasoning of the argument in the advertisement is flawed because it overlooks the possibility that
(A) the equipment used by Kreemo to blend and package its coffee is no different from that used by most other coffee producers
(B) not all of Kreemo's competitors use Colombian coffee beans in the blends of coffee they sell
(C) Kreemo sells more coffee than does any other company
(D) Kreemo's coffee is the most expensive blended coffee available today
(E) the best unblended coffee is better than the best blended coffee

Can anyone explain the above. OA is C. I went for E :(

Me 2... Not sure how C is the OA.

Just because they sell more coffee doesn't show a flaw in the argument.

C is the right answer.

A paraphrase of the premise for the argument is that "the more Colombian coffee beans in your coffee, the better the coffee".

If Kremo sells more coffee than it competitors, that could mean that Kremo has less Colombian beans in their coffee than their competitors. Thus, C weakens the argument.

i go with hengirl03. C. the conclusion says - So it only stands to reason that if you buy a can of Kreemo's coffee, you're buying the best blended coffee available today. so any choice that tells us that kreemo's is NOT neccesarily the best blended coffee will be our right choice. (in turn anything that tells us the purchasing the max beans does not mean using max beans per blend)

C says that Kreemo sells more coffee than any other company. this means it buys more columbian beans not because it puts more beans per blend of coffee, but because it needs to generate more overall coffee (so the beans per blend are actually less!)

the problem with E is that its gettig out of scope. We do not need to consider unblended coffee (remember - the conclusion is about best blended coffee available today not about the best coffee available today

i hope this helps!

Lets begin with elimination process.

Option D,E can be ruled out for the fact that there are no evidences in support to the statements mentioned in D & E.

Option A can also be ruled out as argument doesnt talk about the equipment used for bleding, out of scope of the argument.

Option B can be ruled out for the reason that there is no evidence stating that not all Kreemo's competitionr use colombian coffee beans in the blends of the coffee they sell.

Answer left C which is the correct one.

if Kreemo sells more coffee than any other company
it also means that Kreemo also sell other coffee from other suppliers.
this leads us to skeptic that how much is the rate of blended coffee.

For instance, Kreemo sells 100 pack of blended coffee and only buy 1 pack of colombian coffee.
Please share your idea and your reasoning :D

stumped on this one, But now agree that OA is C.

the more colombian beans - best blend of coffee.
Kreemo buys the most beans = means kreemo used most beans to make blend best ( is the assumption )
but C is another reason ( that kremo sells more coffee ) to break the assumption that kreemo might not use all those best beans ( colombian ) per can

\great question.
