ok.. im reallly bad at inequalities and DS, thts for sure.. neways

Qs-
If m and n are negative, is m/n <1?

1. mn<1
2. m-n<n

OA is E

I think its B.. reason being,

the second statement says m-n>n
=> m>2n
=>m/n>2

hence, we know m/n is NOT <1, its more than 2, which is also more than 1

where did i go wrong? pls explain

when you divide an inequality by a negative number you would need to flip the sign (given n is negative)

=> m>2n
=>m/n<2

If OA is actually E, I guess statement 2) should read m-n > n instead of m-n<n

If 2) is m-n<n as written in the original post, answer should be B:

m-n<n ==> m<2n ==> m/n>2 (n is negative) and thus we can answer the question
