Hi,

My name is Saurabh. I gave GMAT yesterday and scored 640 (Q45 & V31). I am not so happy with my score but I dont want to retake the exam. I want to start applying to colleges immidiately. I am a hotel management graduate (4 years full time). Post my graduation I was picked up from campus as a management trainee with the best hotel chain in India. I worked with them for 4 and 1/2 years as a management trainee. For the last 1 year I have been with a software company,which provides soultions to the hospitality industry, as a key account manager in India.

I have thought of applying to the following colleges -

1. ISB, India (long shot)
2. AIM, Manila
3. Nanyang, Singapore (long shot)
4. XLRI, India
5. IIM Kolkata, India
6. WHU, Germany
7. CASS Business School, UK

The above selection is based on little research. Please help me with your opinions and suggestions. Please do list colleges that I can apply to with my profile, preferably in APAC region. Also be devils advocate for the colleges that I have listed.

I would not rule out taking the exam again... A good score goes a long way.

Thank you for your reply Jim. I understand that a good GMAT score is important. But I am not quite confident that I will be able to improve, also my work does not permit me to invest time into studying.

It would be great if you could suggest some colleges with my profile. I want to look at colleges for Marketing/Leadership/General Management.
