I have not gone through the notes fully. I will be doing that tomorrow. I skimmed through it once though. I will be practising on LSAT passages and LSAT CR along with reviewing your notes tomorrow...I have been practicing on tough GMATPrep problems (posted by zuleron) yesterday and went through "Numbers and Percentages" chapter from LSAT LR guide.


BTW, I took last of CAT (GMATPrep 2) and scored 730 (Q50, V38). On Quant I have seen about 30% repeats and Verbal about 20% repeats. I got 6 incorrect in Quant and 10 incorrect in Verbal (6 - SC, 1- RC, 3 - CR).

How do you plan on spending these last few days? I'm torn between studying and just shutting it down and doing more memorization things.

Here's my plan:

01/26 (Tue):

1. Review OG error log (about 30 incorrectly answered questions across PS, DS, CR & SC).
2. Solve about 20 questions from Zuleron's 99%ile questions (completed about 60 so far out 200).
3. Review MGMAT SC guide, chapters 7, 8 & 9 and go through Sahil's guide.
4. Review PowerScore LSAT CR notes and if possible do 2 LSAT RC passages and 5 LSAT CR questions.
5. Study MGMAT Number properties & Inequalities (Adv chapters).

01/27(Wed):
1. Go through Flash cards
2. Go through Idioms list
3. Go through AWA essays
4. Study MGMAT Word Translations (Adv chapters).

01/28 (Thurs):

1. Go through Flash cards
2. Go through Idioms list
3. Go through AWA essays

01/29 (Friday):

1. Warm up (3 PS,3 DS, 3 CR & 3 SC questions)
2. Relax and get set go

What do you say?

Today has not been a productive day for me I tried to solve 16 OG 12 CR questions and go only 8 correct and did about 10 LSAT CR questions and got only 5 correct. Frustrating day

That sounds like a solid plan. My plan is to just continue drilling through Wednesday. On Thur I plan to do nothing and I will warm up on Friday with 3 questions from each section and then get ready to kill it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. For the most part, the LSAT Logical Reasoning would be the equivalent of 700-800 level questions on the GMAT. Plus, there are some question types that are not on the GMAT. LIke Point at Issue questions and Justify the conclusion. My main problem with CR are the parallel reasoning questions. Those are just impossible.

I really dont get time coz of tight job pressure to look at such discussions often ,but 'GMAT 2.0 Reloaded - SREAK's Blog' is the one which i really dont wanna miss for any updates.Many a times wanted to contribute to this blog but just could not as was always held back due to something else or the other

I admire all strategies/hardwork you all guys are putting in . Its great great motivation for anyone not only from GMAT perspective but also from overall approach to tackle any odds of life in general.

Worth mentioning is the spirit you guys have where Sreak motivates Osirus and viceversa. Seems two buddies preparaing a battleplan for common cause and its amazing .

Wish you best of luck and am sure hard work will pay its due .

Thanks for the kind words. I wish you luck on your exam as well. Even after I take the exam, I will still be a part of the community and will be around if you ever have any questions.

I think today will be my last day doing my normal drills. I am going to use tomorrow as geometry immersion since I still can't seem to get a hang of it

Make sure you revise all the Geometry formulae.

Do you have any particular topic in Geometry that you struggle? I usually have tough time with solid geometry problems, like you have to fit a cylinder in a cube and maximize the area of the cylinder and such problems..

From my actual GMAT exam, I can recall that I have not seen many Geometry questions, infact, I saw only 1 question on Geometry. I saw lots of Coordinate geometry questions though. One particular question was related to equation of a parabola, I just guessed on it and moved on ..

My main issue is when they give a problem that has a square or a circle and tell you that it is bordered by a square or a circle and you need to find the areas of each. For instance they may say a circular lawn has a circular border and you have to determine the areas of each. Those problems are just frustrating.

Yes, I saw such a problem on GMATPrep. There is one question about a circular path whose width(S) is given along with the radius (R) of the smaller circle and the question was to find the area of inner circle. I made a careless mistake of assuming that the width is actually the radius of the smaller circle and ticked the answer choice Pie(R^2 - S^2) instead the answer was pie (R+s)^2 - pie R^2 = pieS(2R + S).
