If two triangles are similar, then their sides are in the same ratio. So, AB : BC = AD : DE AD = AB + BD = AB + 12 So, AB : 2 = (AB + 12) : 3 3AB = 2AB + 24 AB = 24 The correct answer is E. _________________ Anurag Mairal, Ph.D., MBA GMAT Expert, Admissions and Career Guidance Gurome, Inc. 1-800-566-4043 (USA) Join Our Facebook Groups GMAT with Gurome https://www.facebook.com/groups/272466352793633/ Admissions with Gurome https://www.facebook.com/groups/461459690536574/ Career Advising with Gurome https://www.facebook.com/groups/360435787349781/ Master | Next Rank: 500 Posts Joined 25 Jan 2011 Posted: 407 messages Followed by: 7 members Upvotes: 25 Test Date: 29 Agust 2011 Target GMAT Score: +700 excatly E I spent 10 mins to figure out how come the answer may be B...
