Points a, b, c, d are all on a number line and d > a. If b is twice as far from d as it is from a and c is twice as far from a as it is from d, then ?
a)1/4
b)1/3
c)1/2
d)2
e)3

[spoiler]If I take values for a , b, c, d as 15,10,25,20 the answer comes out 3 but OA given is 1/3.

Hi prachi18oct,

This question seems incomplete. Shouldn't there be 5 answer choices?

The question itself is incomplete. It just says then? What are the answer choices referring to?
