Is there is some missing information?

What is the source? Can you post complete Q along with answer choices.

You're almost there, theCodeToGMAT.

Unfortunately, this question requires us to apply a circle property that is not tested on the GMAT.
Quadrilateral ABCD is a cyclic quadrilateral, and the OPPOSITE angles in a cyclic quadrilateral always add to 180º

So, ∠B + ∠D = 180
So, (50 + x) + (56 + x) = 180
Simplify: 106 + 2x = 180
Solve to get: x = 37

Also, if ∠C = 180-x (as you have noted), then ∠A = x [so that ∠A + ∠C = 180]
So, x =
37º
Cheers,
Brent
