what I love about this question is...IT LOOKS SIMPLE, just like a beautiful trap.

I would click C and move on if I saw this question in the first 10 questions of the quant.

But would I be that brave if it were 36th question of the test..I don't know!

I can't seem to clearly figure out which angle is x: angle BCA or angle ACD?

If BCA = x, then answer should be A
If ACD = x answer should be C.

In this question, unless we know any other value, the ans should be C.
But, as logitech said, if GMAT gives the question so straight, it wouldnt be called GMAT.
I would love to see the explanation for this one.
What if i have not yet beat the beast, I know i will beat it!!!!!!!!

Btw if BA parallel to CD and BC parallel to DA, then the figure would be a parallelogram and the opposite angles would be equal.


And angle y and angle BCA would be equal. Actually even without BA being Parallel to CD, y=BCA.

I'm making a humble request to the users of this forum to please kindly enlighten me with the fact that what angle is x? From what I can see, and I don't doubt my eyesight, x seems to be on diagonal AC. So is x on AC's left or right.

Sorry, I don't have a better diagram. This is what I saw when I attempted the question.

I assumed ACD = X and couldn't find a way to do it.

I guess ACD is not X but BCA is.

so BCA should be the angle in question then.
