Angle bisector theorem:shrey2287 wrote:In triangle ABC, AD is the bisector of |A, AB=10 cm, AC=14 cm and area of triangle ABD = 140 sq cm. Find area of triangle ACD
In ∆ABC, if AD bisects ∠A to form ∆ABD and ∆ACD, then ∆ABD : ∆ACD = AB:AC.
Thus:
140/∆ACD = 10/14
∆ACD = 196.
