The area of arc is one quarter of a circle of diameter 14. the length of OC is 3.The arc ADB and AEB are of the same length.Find the area of the shaded region

Very confused by this. An arc cannot have an area. Please clarify. (If this was the way the question was written, throw the question in the trash).
