I'm a noob here and have some questions

1. When you take the GMAT, I am aware that you're required to enter the names of a few schools for your score to be sent to. Is it possible to send your score to a school that wasn't originally listed on the GMAT after you receive your score?

2. What's the significance of applying during R1 and R2 of the application process?

3. Do most top-level schools take the average of your GMAT scores, or just the highest?

Welcome! In regards to your questions:

You can certainly send your GMAT score to a school after you've taken the test. You just have to pay money.
There isn't too much significance between rounds. Most schools accept about the same number of applicants between Round 1 and Round 2. The general rule of thumb is to submit your app when it is ready, but earlier can't hurt either--you get Adcoms while they are fresh.
Most schools consider only your highest GMAT score, although they see all your scores. Check with each school's website though to verify.
