Nice strategies mate!
Don't look for the incorrect things that you have done rather look for remedies....

Congrats on the excellent score! This is truly an accomplishment. I'm curious to know which grammar book you downloaded from itunes?

Thanks.

Hi HG10,
The grammar book was "An English Grammar" by William Malone Baskerville.

Thank you for this post jimpropheit, you inspire me to give the GMAT another go.
I'm also Filipino, btw :)

I took my GMAT last DEC-2.
I allotted time for my preparation, took time-off from my job and enrolled in a well-known GMAT Prep service here in Makati.
Overall I spent 3 months in full preparation, finished all the materials, even did my own writings on the wall.
The practice tests were promising too, averaging at 650 for my 9 practice tests.

But when test day came, I was floored with a 500 score (Q31, V28).
I don't know what happened. I got depressed so I took a month off (for Pasko with the family)
Today, 1/4/12 i'm going to re-open my materials, check my bases, and treat each problem with care.
My takeaway from your post is for me to: (really) UNDERSTAND the Problem.

I am planning to take my GMAT by February, will schedule by next week and give an update on how it goes.
I wish you the best on the next phase of your application process :)

Cheers!
-Dave

Great post! Very inspiring, I took the GMAT earlier today and floored a 530. I studied a lot but definitely need the extra help to ensure I bring it up to a 700 level. Please let us know if there are any specific tips or tricks you recommend. Thank you!
