@xela760 - yeah i repeated OGs 4 times. But, after repeating these many times, u might feel as if you have mugged up all the questions and their answers and while solving them for the 4th time, you might even be able to solve the qtns without looking at the answer choices! haha... this is a bit funny, but i think understanding the logic behind every qtn n strengthening the concepts is what is more important! So, do not hesitate to repat OG qtns too!

@ Eric (beatthegmat) - Thanks a ton man for founding such a wonderful forum! Hats off to you for helping out millions of GMAT aspirants around the world!!!

Congragulations Karthik! Hope you manage admits in the school of your choice.
Your post is just in time for me :-)
I scored 470 on my first GMAT prep test, taken 3 weeks after studying(2 weeks back).
Then, I got 450 on Princeton review. Finally, I got 540 on MGMAT yesterday. I can now atleast dream of a 550 on the real test. I have not given up my preparation, just working harder. My test is in 3 weeks. Your post makes me believe that, we all can increase our scores with practise and efforts.I am going to keep giving GMAT prep tests, like you have mentioned.

Thanks for your post.

hey khartik

first of all: congratulation!

- what do you mean with "GMATprep"? --> is it the free software from www.mba.com?
- did i get you right --> in your real gmat exam, there were about 15 questions which you found in the princeton review book, in the kaplan book and in the gmatprep exam?

thanks a lot,
fractal

Congrats Kartik... your story is truly inspirational... I just gave my 1st mock test and got 470... I thought my world had crashed, as I had read that the most a person can improve is by 100 after the first test... by that rule, it didn't seem good enough.... now I do have hope... thanks again!

Hi Fractal! Yes I was referring to the free GMAT software provided by mba.com by saying 'GMATprep'. And I didn't mean that I found 15 qtns from princeton review, kaplan n GMATprep test! I meant that each time I give the GMATprep test after already having repeated more than 2 times, I used to get increasing number of repeat qtns that were attempted in my prev GMATprep tests...

@ fc135 - I do not have any soft copy of IMS books. U may chk this link to know more about IMS - https://www.imsindia.com/studyabroad/IMS ... m#testprep
U wil be able to purchase IMS books only if u r in India and that too only in select few cities where IMS has branches. They do not provide any softcopy of their books too. The names of the books are as the ones that I have mentioned in my debrief. All the best!
