Hi karthmba011,
I hear people on the forum say that one needs to delete and reinstall GMATPREP software in order to see hidden questions.Did you reinstall gmatprep during your repetition?

it is helpful to know that you do not have a math intensive background.
thanks for the advice on the gmatprep test, i did manhattan prep and my score was skewed, so i was highly dissapointed when i got a terrible score on my first shot at the gmat.
gives me encouragement as i will retake in about 60 days!

Wow! This whole story has given me hope! Yesterday I was absolutely devasted, as I took my first CAT exam, and scored 390!!! Ouchhhhh!!!! A lot of that contributed to my timing (having to guess towards the end) & getting used to the whole test itself. I am currenlty enrolled in a Manhattan GMAT prep course and last week was my first week going, so Im hoping that my score will definitely change over time with study and practice! Reading your story gives me motivation that it can be done! I myself am an average student, well when it comes to math anyway! I hate it and only study it enough to do well in it! lol! I feel my stronger area will be in Verbal, but what's crazy is that I did better in Quant, than I did in Verbal...wowzer! I really want to get in the high 600's so from here on out, im pushing myself extra hard! Any advice you may have will be awesome! I plan to take the test in December so I have a while to get ready. I just keep telling myself to stay upbeat about it and reading stories like these definitely helps!

Thanks for ur compliments! if u feel verbal is ur strength, then capitalize on it. But i think it is also imp to score 47 or above in quants. Juz do not take too much tension and give ur best shot! Afterall GMAT is just a TEST and nothing more than this! I also know few ppl with a GMAT score of 590, but got admission in top 20 US schools! All the best!

MissTee: ManhattanGMAT is a great program. Even though I did not get the score i was looking for the first time around, one of their instructors called me afterwards and gave me a step by step game plan to beat the gmat in december.
One thing I will share with you that he said is that the GMAT gives you a slight reward for not having a huge gap between your scores. so its better if you score about the same in both subjects instead of having a huge margin. MGMAT will help you with that they have tons of tools on their website. and do as many OG problems as you can!
Good luck!

@mcbrown84 Yes, Im loving the Manhattan GMAT prep course so far! I have a really good instructor, so I plan to work through this course and hopefully I will get a good score! Im definitely learning that the OG problems are beneficial! My first CAT exam had me a little "bombed-out" but then again it just gave me motivation to study even harder! So pleeeasseeee wish me luck guys! I really want to beat the GMAT! I am going to take the test in December, so I guess we will see what happens then! In the meantime, I will be on it hard with this studying!

Hi Kartik,

Congratulations for the great score and motivating all of us.

I took GMAT prep once and scored 510 i was planning to give the test on 26 oct 10.But because of my score , i will have to

postpone it now. I have all the IMS notes but unfortunately i could not attend much of the classes so i dont have the solution

of class sheet concept initiator. so just studying from ims quant and octane series will suffice?? Which all topic of maths have you studied from IMS books. And are you comfortable with

probability, combination and mixture problem .. because these are really my weak areas.

One more thing , after giving GMAT prep, have you reviewed your wrong answer .. and have you solved it after the test. or you just used to appear the next test without looking at your wrong answer in previous exam. Because what i feel is if i review the wrong answer and solve it after the test and if the same question repeats then it will definately improve my score . then it will not guage the correct score.

pls advice ..

I just want to tell you a big congratulation for your great score.. I am in the same boat as you, very weak in both verbal and quant, and moreover, I am a non-native..

I have my test in 3 weeks, I have been studying since april and like you, did GMAT prep several time..

Just want to tell you thanks for your encouraging debrief, especially for today because I feel very depress about this exam.. Just scored a poor 550 on MGMAT CAT today and I feel that these CAT are very difficult in maths..

Anyway, you can be proud of you, I understand you pretty well and I know what you've been through.

Again, congratulation!!

When you people say GMAT prep, you refer to which gmat prep?
Becoz i have two different GMAT prep one with 4 tests and one with 2 tests(downloaded from MBA.com)

Please let me know.

Congratulations on the score!! This has motivated me to keep trying. I am also having difficulties with the gmat.
I am a non native english speaker and very poor at math. I have a liberal arts background.
I have scored on the mock test a measly:

1: 300 Q11 V16
2: 420 Q25 V23
3: 470 Q28 V27
4: 500 Q28 V31

I still have so much to work on!! But I still have faith!
