Hi !!


I would like to apply for a full time MBA to UCLA and USC, I'm a french consultant with 4 years of experience and I'm graduated from a French Grande Ecole (an engineering school). If I get an average GMAT score and the required TOEFL score for the targeted schools and if my essays are good, is it better to apply for the last round this year or for the first round the next year ?
Do I have a chance to be accepted by applying for the last round ?

Hi,

Thanks for your post. In general, it is best to apply no later than round 2. The majority of applicants apply in rounds 1 and 2 and as a result most of the seats in the class are full by the time you get to the final round. Applying in round 3 can also send a message to the school that perhaps they are not your first choice, something you certainly don't want them to think. Strategically it probably makes the most sense for you to focus on taking the GMAT this spring and apply Round 1 or in an early action round in the fall.
