It is very important to keep track of time while preparing for GMAT and specially while practicing questions. GMAT is a timer test and gives approx 2 mins for each question. I've developed an application to keep track of time when practicing gmat tests/questions during self study. It is a free app. This is my way of giving back to the internet GMAT community. I should also point out that there's a built-in timer at the top of every question posted in BTG's math and verbal forums.

Amit -- Community kudos points to you. The biggest thing I'd offer is that you need to allow yourself the time to really analyze what it is that the time-based data says to you.

1. Where am I spending too much time?
2. Where am I not spending enough time?
3. What questions should I have cut bait on, taken an educated guess and moved along?
4. Which questions did I rush?
5. Do the timing patterns indicate any foundational holes in my knowledge?
