Let B = 8 units and A = 16 units.
Sand in B = (3/8)*8 = 3 units.
Sand in A = (1/4)*16 = 4 units.
When B is poured into A, sand in A = 3+4 = 7 units.
Sand/Capacity = 7/16.
The correct answer is
B.
