If you want to be competitive for the best MAcc programs (I'm talking UT-Austin, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, etc.), what GMAT and GPA do you typically need? Also, I've heard some people say that ECs aren't that important and that GMAT and GPA trump all (slight pref for GMAT supposedly). In your experience, do you need to be super active on campus and all that to get into the top programs, or would focusing on GMAT/GPA and getting internships while joining a couple of organizations good enough?

Finally, in your guys' opinions, what are the top 5-7 MAcc programs FOR ACCOUNTING MAJORS (i.e. not UNC who doesn't take people who majored in accounting)

thanks
