I don't understand the rational for B
return journey is OOS.
we are only concerned about the journey from D to T.

Can Experts comment ?

what is the source? Very strange Q
Conclusion is ...to save time and money...
To strengthen it we should speak about time and money not about the routes.

possible rationale for B

the stimulus talks of vacationers wanting to travel to country T from country B, so it is assumed that they would want to return and which is why may be the return routes are of consequence

when people go on vacation (as mentioned in the problem), it can be safely assumed that they will return from that vacation. therefore, the return trip is relevant.

i agree with the posters on this thread, though; this is a weak question. one could make a legitimate argument for choice (a) as well; real official problems are always much more clear than this one.

another glaring weakness in this question is its complete failure to mention the cost of the plane ticket (vs. that of the train ticket).
the conclusion mentions saving "time and money", so we would expect that the missing piece (i.e., the piece that is to strengthen the conclusion) would have something to do with these differential costs. alas, there is no such choice.

in any case, though, if (b) is the official answer, it's because we can assume that vacationers will actually return from their vacation (however much they may not want to).
