Finding rating for each section and calculation of score

Hi,

I am struggling for days finding the rating for each section in order to calculate my raw score. Then, I am not able to find the table for converting that raw score into a total score. (In this case I am talking about the diagnostic test)
I am using the The Official Guide for GMAT Review 2015.
It hinders me to go on, please help me out.

Hi Melin,

Unfortunately, the Diagnostic Test at the beginning of the OG is not a great way to get a realistic assessment of an Official GMAT score. Relative to the Official GMAT, that Test does not have the same number of questions, the same ratio of questions, it doesn't adapt, it's missing the Essay and IR sections, etc. While it can help to define some of the areas that you need to work on, if your goal is to have a realistic assessment of how you might score on the Official GMAT, then the only way to get that result is to take a FULL-LENGTH CAT under realistic conditions.

1) How long have you been studying?
2) What is your goal score?
3) When are you planning to take the GMAT?

I'll second Rich's point - you want to take a full length adaptive test so that you have a baseline. You can find two free tests from mba.com here: https://www.mba.com/us/the-gmat-exam/pre ... tware.aspx

I did the diagnostic test from the OG15 as well, I believe it is only for the purposes of analyzing your strengths and weaknesses in the different areas. The should be where we start to look at which areas we should perhaps spend more time on. There is really no need to obsess about total score right from the start!
