here is my attempt on this one:

B & E - wrong reference by using "their"
D - is wordy and "to strain corp offers" is not parallel

between A & C; I would choose C. let me know what the right choice is.

imo a

Understanding the context : both the advertising demands and the extravagant marketing strain the corporate offers.

hence "while" will make sense only if you are comparing functions. e.g. Production budgets are tight because while the movie sales usually increase marginally in this period, the advertisement costs for the upcoming movies are the highest during the same period.
hence D and E are out.

A is best among the rest.

IMO A

B, E Out . "Their" has no reference
As we are presenting two factors leading to tight production budget use of "And" is more appropriate , there is no contrast to be established here.

D alters the meaning of original sentence. " extravagant marketing push leading up to the Oscars strains corporate officers" is different from "marketing push leading up to the Oscars is more extravagant to strain corporate officers" ..Former speaks How extravagant marketing push to catch upto oscars strains officers and latter conveys "Push is to strain" corporate officers

What hitmis has written earlier is right.

In addition,
the marketing push leading up to the Oscars is more extravagant to strain corporate offers - This clause makes no sense.

Exact and strains should be parallel. Leaves A and E.
Their redundant in E. hence choose A, hope it helps!

I was able to get it
B and E out because of Pronoun 'their'
C out....toll,with an even.....means it is describing toll
D out because of strange construction ....while ....oscars is more...
So A remains
GMAT score is equally counted as your GPA and 78 clicks can change you life.
