Hi Gurus,

I have completed the OG13,Verbal and Quant Review 2-3 times . I've read the Manhattan Strategy Guides for Verbal and gave Manhattan mock cats too. Scored 630 in the latest. Quant 46 and Verbal 31.Please suggest me sone other sources for questions which can be relied upon.

Suggest me some tips to score above 700. I'm looking to give my GMAT by Aug 15th.

Thanks.

I would say, Don't get carried away by the scores that you are getting in MGMAT.

I am guessing that with 46 score in quant, you must be making mistake in about 12-15 questions which needs to be minimized and brought down to about 8 Questions (which is usual no. of mitakes made by 50-51 scorers in Quant in Actual GMAT)

You score in Verbal seems to be on the lower side therefore you should be shifting your focus on improving your Verbal part rather than just practicing a new set of material which I doubt will help you much as you have already practices the most prestigious material available for GMAT preparation.

You can practice Kaplan Tests and it's material as well if you want.

All the best!!!

Hi trgtgmat2013,

Can you list out each of your practice CATs, when you took the CAT and the Quant/Verbal Scaled scores for each?

If 630 is the highest that you've scored on a CAT, then 2 weeks of additional study time is probably not enough time to get you into 700+ territory. Can you push your Test Date back a bit?

Hi Rich,

I've been preparing for the GMAT for quite a while now. I've completed the OG-13,Verbal Review,Quant Review.Manhattan Verbal material 3-4 times. I've given several mock CATS. These are the scores listed.

Q V Total
1 GMATPrep Exam 1 47 21 560
2 GMATPrep Exam 2 44 30 610
3 Veritas 47 34 660
4 Manhattan GMAT1 43 28 580
5 Kaplan GMAT 590
6 Manhattan GMAT2 37 35 600
7 Manhattan GMAT3 46 31 630

GMAT Preps were way back. Initially I was just winning it in Verbal section but now trying to stop that tendency. After my analysis of each CAT I found that many of the questions in Verbal could have been correct,if I would have given some more time.Actually I've finished all the exams before time. Please advise me with a further strategy . My target score is 700+ ,preferably more than 720. I'm planning to give the GMAT by this month end.
