I dont understand, are you sure the question is correct.
I feel the answer is
7^b+1

But thats not an option

Guys ,

I agree with you that answer should be 7(7^b) and I too got the same answer .

But it says option B is correct which is 7^(b-1) .

Now there has to be some thing wrong either I am wrong or the book is wrong .
