a and b are integers and a is not equal to b

Is lal*b > 0 ?

Statement I

la^bl > 0

Statement II

lal^b is a non zero integer

I do not agree to OA.

The question is asking whether b>0

1. b=2 or b=-2 for a = 1 it will be always 1

2. it only says a not equal to zero, nothing about b here,

combining doesnt give me anything...so E...

I second the point that OA doesnt seem correct . Under existing constraints it has to be E

Even I got E as the answer. Your posts just confirmed my answer. Thanks.
