hi anwarma,

could you clarify the question again?

is it (1/2)*10^35

or 1/(2 * 10^35)

or 1/(2 * 10)^35.. little confusing

cheers

OK!

Exact wording is

-->If (1/5)^m multiplied by (1/4)^18 = 1/2(10)^35, then m =

(A) 17

(B) 18

(C) 34

(D) 35 <-- ANSWER

(E) 36

Yes , 35 is the answer

question is simplified to :

--->(1/5^m) * (1/2^36)=1/2(2*5)^35
--->1/(5^m)(2^36)=1/(2^36)(5^35)--- adding powers on right hand side
therefore 5^m=5^35 and m=35
