The percentage of households with an annual income of more than $40,000 is higher in Merton county than in any other county. However, the percentage of households with an annual income of $60,000 or more is highest in Sommer county.

If the statements above are true, which of the following can properly be concluded on the
basis of them?

A. No household in Merton county has an annual income of $60,000 or more.
B. Some households in Merton county have an annual income between $40,000 and
$60,000.

C. The number of households with an annual income of more than $40,000 is greater
in Merton than in Sommer county.

E. The percentage of households with an annual income of $80,000 is higher in

Are you unclear about the answer or did you come close to an answer which was proven wrong ?

Merton county has a higher percentage of >40K income households
Sommer county has the highest percentage of >60K income households

A - clearly false
B - possible, but can't be the conclusion.
C - Again, can't be concluded as there's no data to support the claim
D - We don't know anything about the number of households to compute averages - so clearly not the conclusion

That leaves E - which is the best possible conclusion. Yes, percentage of >60K income households is higher in Sommer county than in Merton county

I'm going with E. No confidence on my answer. Can anyone tell OA?
