Here, we need to critique the linguistic accuracies of the different options presented below.

Option A - INCORRECT./b]
An action that has occurred needs not be in the present continuous sense of it i.e ''recommends''. This is a clear case of no difference in the option statement and the original content. It's in an undiluted form and itself needs critique.

Option B - INCORRECT.
The flow has been truncated by the uncharacteristic use of a continuous verb ''thinking'' in expressing a present form. It is grammatically inconsistent.

Option C - INCORRECT.
This response looks preemptive. It seeks to suggest that the parents have initially taken a position before considering an expect. It is a vague statement with little substance.

Option D - INCORRECT.
Here, it's a bit different word arrangement such that the structure parts are well placed but for the grammatical placement. Using ''will'' in a future tense definitely killed the quality the statement has.

Option E - CORRECT.
The structure here shows the author portraying the parents thoughts as the only reasonable factor recommendable to curtailing their children's lacking in academic motivation. This is the best option so far.
