I guess that is taken from 1000 SC.

I initially chose C. However after looking at the option D even I was confused as in what makes option D wrong ??

But at a second look I figured out whats wrong with D.

exigencies has foreshortened dramatized historical events -- do exigencies really foreshorten events ? This is Logically wrong !!

So C makes the right option.

d is wrong because,

Can some one please tell...

Is "E" wrong because of S-V...

extengencies....foreshortens....

or there is some other reason...

We can eliminate choices A, D, and E since subject-verb agreement is violated (exigencies doesn't match up with 'makes,' 'has foreshortened,' and 'foreshortens'). Between B and C, we need the present tense, so the answer is C.

Still not clear about S-V error in (E) , Please explain

exigencies is a plural noun. foreshortens is a verb to be used with singular noun.

Yes 1000 SC's

I am finding it very helpful(although sme of the answers are problematic, bu overall I find 1000 SC's to be vry good for practise)

(A) makes the foreshortening of dramatized historical events inevitable (Does not agree with exigencies - SVA error)
(B) made dramatized historical events inevitably foreshortened (Uses Past Tense - Tense error)
(C) make the foreshortening of dramatized historical events inevitable (Correct - Present Tense+No SVA error)
(D) has inevitably foreshortened dramatized historical events (has does not agree with Exigencies - SVA error)
(E) inevitably foreshortens dramatized historical events (It should be "the dramatized ..." - Missing the article the)

(C) make the foreshortening of dramatized historical events inevitable correct option
(D) has inevitably foreshortened dramatized historical events exigencies is plural so have is required in place of has
(E) inevitably foreshortens dramatized historical events foreshorten needs to be singular because exigencies is plural
