I commend your self-assessment and research on programs to identify some good options. However, I am concerned about your chances at these programs as an international applicant with your GMAT score being below average. While it is not the only or most important part of the application, every part of your application takes on greater significance as an international applicant as you are competing against a large number of applicants for a few seats. Most US business schools keep the percentage of international students in their classes between 20 and 40%, yet their applicant pools often are greater than 50% international. Your GPA and TOEFL are strong, and your work experience appears to be solid. So your essays will need to not only be written well and effectively convey a solid rationale for business school in relation to realistic career goals, but also convince the admissions committees to offer you a seat over the many other applicants with similar GPA/work experience/community involvement yet higher GMAT scores.
