Hi Stacy

Thank you for the great evaluations & feedback. I find this site to be a great resource like other MBA aspirants and have already recommended this to couple of friends.

Brief profile:
36 male, Indian based in Middle East.
Engineering Graduate 1989-93 batch with GPA – 3.2
B.E. (Electronics & Communication) from Regional Engineering College (one of the National recognized colleges in India).
Extra-curricular activities: Used to be an active Rotaract Club member in College and other social / community /music groups. Not anymore.
Play Golf sometimes. Hardly anytime to read (..heard that somewhere :))

Career Profile:
- 13+ years IT sales – ERP, Infrastructure, Outsourcing, services.
- People management
- Account Management
- P&L responsibility for my division
- Product management
- Channel Management

Why MBA?
I have been a consistent sales performer, but would like to move to marketing or consulting. Additionally, I intend to relocate to Canada permanently and would like to better my chances there with the local accreditation.
I intend to attend business school (12-15 months program) next Fall i.e. 2008. Some schools I have shortlisted include:

- Queens (Canada)
- Ivey (Canada)
- Indian Business School

I am planning to take the GMAT exam by next month – hopeful of getting 650+ .

Can you please be critical & evaluate my chances with the above colleges.

Thanks

Hi skhanz,

I think a focus on Canadian schools should be quite successful for you. Canada is a nice option (especially if you plan to relocate there) because the programs tend to be shorter than in the US, and are more affordable.

You should be competitive for your target programs as long as you can achieve a GMAT score in the range for those schools.

Focus on discussing your goals in the context of your past choices and drawing a clear trajectory from your past career to your future goals.

Good luck!
