Hello!
I'm a 29 year old (30 years at time of application) American currently living in Australia. I worked for 8 years with a Fortune 10 company. I completed an IT leadership program and am Lean and Six Sigma certified. In my job, I was able to spend 5 1/2 years abroad in Belgium, London and Paris which was a great experience. After 8 years of increasing responsibility, I decided to leave the company to spend some time working with start-ups and volunteering in Australia, which I've been doing for the last few months. Working with entrepreneurs has been an enlightening experience and I realize that while I can transfer a lot of my corporate skills to small companies, there is a ton I can learn from new businesses! I would like to go back to school to network and build a solid foundation in entrepreneurship and non-profit management for future endeavors.
I haven't taken an official GMAT yet, but my scores are around 660-680. I graduated from the University of Florida with a 3.7 GPA. I studied Business Administration with a concentration in Decision and Info. Sciences.
I'm currently looking into 1 year MBAs in Europe. I'm hoping that my international experience, and pretty good GPA will help my application, but I'm concerned my GMAT will bring me down.
Do I have a shot with Oxford, Cambridge or INSEAD with my profile or do I really need to focus on improving my GMAT over the next month?
