A DELIVERY FLEET OF 200 VEHICLES CONSISTS ENTIRELY OF CARS AND TRUCKS. THERE ARE THREE TIMES AS MANY TRUCKS AS CARS.IF THERE ARE 75 REFIRIGIRATED VEHICLES AND 1/5 OF THE CARS ARE REFRIGIRATED,HOW MANY TRUCKS ARE NOT REFRIGIRATED.

QA. IS 85........ I CHOSE 95.

TELL ME WHERE I WENT WRONG.

C= CARS, T= TRUCKS

200= 3C(I.E TRUCKS)+C--------- GIVING C= 50 AND T(I.E 3C)=150

REFRIGIRATED CARS = 75/5= 15
REFRIGIRATED TRUCK = 75-15=60
THEREFORE THE N.O OF NON REFRIGIRATED TRUCKS=
150-60= 90............ SO I CHOSE 95.

You calculated Ref. Cars to be 75/5=15 which is incorrect.
It is actually 50/5=10 since there are 50 cars and 1/5 of them are Ref.

Ref. Trucks is then 75 - 10 = 65.

Finally, NonRef. Trucks is 150-65=85.
