These are a few of the ventures that LPU students are running successfully with the help of LPU. LPU has one club for all alumni of LPU. “LPU Entrepreneurs Club” is an initiative to bring in successful and budding LPU entrepreneurs across all domains and verticals. The focus of the club is to help the students with their start-ups to connect, interact, get involved, and share opportunities globally.

Faculty at LPU have rich industry experience so that they can guide students about various aspects of the industry. They also help to enforce the spirit of research and entrepreneurship among students. As such, LPU has many innovations and patents to its name. Many on-campus shops and businesses are set up and owned by enterprising LPU students. Sometimes the seed capital for a start-up is also funded by the university. Similarly, research papers written by the students have been presented at various national and international conferences as well as published in Scopus-level journals.

The scope of entrepreneurship is tremendous in a developing country like India. The unemployment in the country is rising day by day. The problem of under-employment is also added to that. As per the report of Labour Bureau, the employment rate is 5% in 2015-2016, highest in last five years. The percentage is higher in the case of women at 8.7% than men at 4.3%. As per the 5th all -India annual employment-unemployment survey under Usual Principal Status (UPS), the estimated unemployment rate was 5%. The solace is to promote the entrepreneurial activities in the country.
