It is given that pool is filled to 3/5 of its capacity.
So, remaining capacity of the pool = 1 - 3/5 = 2/5

3/5 of the pool can be filled in 8 hours.
So, 2/5 of the pool can be filled in 8/(3/5) * 2/5 = 16/3 hours = 5 hours 20 minutes

We can also solve this using the picking numbers approach:

Let us assume that the capacity of the pool = 10 liters
Now 3/5 of the pool can be filled in 8 hours or (3/5) * 10 = 6 liters can be filled in 8 hours.
So, the rate at which the pool in being filled = 6/8 or 3/4 liters per hour.
Remaining capacity of pool to be filled = 1- - 6 = 4 liters
Therefore, time needed to fill 4 liters of the pool = 4/(3/4) = 16/3 hours = 5 hours 20 minutes.

(2/5)th of the tank remains to be filled.

Time taken to fill (3/5)th of the tank = 8 hours
Time taken to fill the entire tank = 8/(3/5) hours
Time taken to fill (2/5)th of the tank
= (8)*(2/5)/(3/5) hours
= (8)*(2/3) hours
= [spoiler]16/3[/spoiler] hours
= 5 hours 20 minutes
