Ellipsis --->> Could any Expert Explains this Concept

Could some one explain this concept along with example given below?

Here is an example

a) The intrusion of politics into the modern Olympics has created, as it will no doubt continue to, frustration for athletes and fans who would prefer to see the games represent only competition among the excellent from all nations.

a) has created, as it will no doubt continue to, frustration
b) has created frustration, as it will no doubt continue to,
c) has created, and will no doubt continue to create, frustration
d) has and will no doubt continue to create frustration
e) has created frustration, and will no doubt continue,

OA is

C

In this question, the attempt at ellipsis is faulty. At least, I presume you are talking about answer choice (A), and why 'as it will no doubt continue to' does not constitute a valid use of ellipsis. The problem with this phrase is it omits 'do,' When substituting the auxiliary verb 'do' for another verb in the sentence, we create a ellipsis and do not necessarily have to repeat the verb. Doing so is up to writer's discretion. It is perfectly fine to repeat the verb, the way this Sentence Correction does with answer (C).

Thanks Chris, would as it will no doubt continue to do be correct then.
