(1) n² > 16 implies n > 4 or n < -4.
If n > 4, then |n| > 4
If n < -4, then |n| > 4
From both the cases, we get the same answer; SUFFICIENT.

(2) 1/|n| > n
If n = -6, then 1/6 > -4. Here, |n| = 6 > 4
If n = -1, then 1/1 > -4. Here |n| = 1 < 4
From the above examples, it can be seen that we do not get a definite answer; NOT sufficient.

The correct answer is A.
