We know n(NP)=21 and n(FI)=15 NP- Net profit and FI- Foreign investments
Statement (1) says n(NP) U n(FI)=12. This means business which did not report profit or invest in foreign markets is 30- (21+15-12)=6. Hence sufficient.
From Statement (2) you can immediately say that the answer is 6.
